SEO Executive Job Requirements
This is a purely outreach focused position.
The objective is to deliver coverage for a range of brands, across international markets, whilst striving to uphold digital PR best practice globally. This coverage is usually gained by creating a piece of content or a story.
The candidate will have to research, devise and execute content campaigns and pieces of activity which will support the commercial growth of our websites, translating time, effort and budget into traffic and trade, continuously refining and developing the tactics and techniques that work most effectively. These could take the form of prolonged, related campaigns with various components or outputs, individual articles or even perhaps events. We are looking for a super organised, fantastic communicator, who is able to build and maintain relationships with publishers/bloggers & external suppliers.
The right candidate will be trained to use third party tools like Buzzsumo, SEMrush, Ahrefs & MajesticSEO to determine the best seeding for content and manage the sourcing of their contact details all the way to communicating with them on a 1-2-1 basis via email. Once trained, the SEO executive will be expected to champion the usage of the insight the tools can provide to establish a fair and methodical process for acquiring new linking opportunities.
Weekly reports will require producing, showcasing the opportunities sourced, contacted and any initial results or next steps to be actioned. These could be based in excel, or from third party tools like Buzzsumo used to manage comms.
This role will also require the candidate to communicate with internal stakeholders from the in-house Product and Content teams to ensure outreach project assets are up to the standards required by the SEO team and the publishers where the content may be landing.
In our eyes, the right candidate will have a healthy mix of creative and analytical aptitude and most importantly be keen to learn and grow.
